Below you will find a very detail description of how the booking / scheduling process works for Alexis "‘Lexy Mosh’. Information regarding deposits and the cancellation policy can be found at the bottom of the page. There are many questions answered in the FAQs section, and we encourage anyone looking to get tattooed to read through both sections thoroughly. If you have any further questions on this process, please feel free to reach out via the contact page on this site.
THINGS TO KNOW-
- All booking and scheduling is done by Lexy. Please be patient, as she is only one person trying to tattoo, organize this schedule, and maintain a semi normal life.
- All booking, scheduling, and consultations are done via text message ONLY. This is to maintain organization and keep all correspondence in one location. No email or direct messages will be answered. In person consultations will only happen if Lexy deems necessary for a better outcome.
- All booking, scheduling, and consultations happen ONCE a year. The time period that will be scheduled is October 1 -September 30, every year.
In July scheduling happens for clients with ongoing projects & deposits down.
In July/August scheduling happens for all new requests.
- In July/August there is a small 1-4 hour window in which requests for NEW projects can me made.
- All ongoing projects & clients with deposits down get schedule priority and will be contacted BEFORE the request list window opens.
- There are TWO ways to stay informed of when the scheduling & request list process opens and starts. HOWEVER, you WILL need access to instagram once scheduling begins.
Follow @lexymoshtattoo on instagram for constant updates leading to the opening of her request list. Updates will be made via posts and stories.
Sign up for text notifications by texting LEXYMOSH to (833) 666-1382. This can keep you informed of when Lexy will start taking requests as well as any cancellation spots.
- For clients interested in booking NEW large scale projects, such as a half sleeve, full sleeve, leg sleeve, body suit, back piece, front torso piece, please see the information at the bottom regarding how these projects are scheduled, AS WELL as the ‘for a new project’ section.
- All appointments have a $500 minimum.
- All appointments are scheduled on Wednesdays - Saturdays at either 11a or 3p. No exceptions.
FOR A NEW PROJECT:
IMPORTANT: Several detailed announcements will be made via Instagram and the text service leading up to the day the request list opens. This opening happens once a year, and the opening will last about 1-4 hours before it is closed again for the next 12 months. All notifications will have the exact day and time of which the opening will begin. You MUST wait for the request list opening post via Instagram to ensure you have all the proper information as well as the proper format in which to send for your request.
WHAT HAPPENS ON REQUEST LIST OPENING DAY:
A post has been made on INSTAGRAM giving detailed instructions that must be read thoroughly. This post will include the method in which to contact Lexy, the format to follow, as well as any requirements for the current year of booking.
Once the post has been read, you will be instructed to send a text to 480.440.3828 following a specific format with specific information included. (ex: name, phone number, tattoo description, etc…) *please note that the format changes every time.
Once you have sent your text request in the proper format, you will receive a confirmation text that your information is on the request list. This may take 1-2 hours to receive, as Lexy does this manually.
Please note, that if your text is NOT sent in the proper format, you will be asked to send it again, and this could result in your request not making it onto the request list.
The window in which these requests are accepted is very brief. A post will be made via Instagram when this window has closed and no more requests will be accepted.
The window closes when the request list gets to a certain length depending on available spots on the schedule.
If you didn’t received a confirmation text that your information is on the request list, you either sent the request after the window was closed or the proper format was not followed.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER RECEIVING CONFIRMATION TEXT:
Your information goes onto a request list.
Over the four weeks following the request list opening, Lexy will be slowly and methodically working her way down the list to contact EVERYONE.
One of three things will happen once you have been contacted:
A text consultation, payment of deposit, and appointment(s) booked.
Recommendation of another artist, as Lexy is not a good fit for the project you have requested.
All open available spaces have been filled and Lexy was unable to schedule you for this year.
IMPORTANT: Once all available schedule spaces have been filled the request list is CLEARED. You do not remain on the list. Being on the request list DOES NOT guarantee an appointment will be scheduled.
WHATS HAPPENS WHEN YOU ARE CONTACTED TO BOOK / SCHEDULE:
- After receiving your confirmation text that your request is on the request list, you will be contacted by Lexy within four weeks.
- If space is still available, or she hasn’t recommended you to another artist, she will begin the consultation process with you.
- You will be sent a text message with information regarding pricing, availability, as well as other important information about the tattoo process. Once you have read thoroughly through and agreed to all the information sent, the process will begin. This process includes:
Exchange of all reference pictures and ideas, including pictures of the area to be tattooed, as well as tattoos to be worked around.
Discussion and exchange of ideas, possible design additions or subtracts, layouts, or any questions Lexy may have regarding your overall concept.
Rough pricing and time frame is given based on the ideas discussed.
Once both parties agree to the tattoo concept, location, time frame, and price range, a non-refundable deposit of $100-$400 will be taken via ZELLE. (No deposits are taken in person or by any other method currently.)
Once the deposit has been sent, the previously determined amount of appointments will be scheduled at that time.
- Once scheduled, a final text will be sent with important information regarding location, parking, as well as other specifics about your upcoming appointment(s).
FOR CLIENTS WITH ONGOING PROJECTS:
- All ongoing projects are contacted at the beginning of each booking year BEFORE any new requests are accepted.
- Ongoing projects have priority for available spaces to ensure their projects are completed in a timely manner.
- Your information stays on an ongoing projects list until the project is complete. You may contact Lexy at anytime to confirm you are on this list.
-When scheduling begins, ongoing projects are broken into two categories:
Category One - You have an incomplete piece, incomplete arm/leg sleeve/half sleeve, just an outline, half shaded, etc. You may also be a project that isn’t started yet, but is starting at the END of a booking year and will be incomplete come the beginning of the next round.
Category Two - You have completed pieces from Lexy, however you are adding on to have a final outcome of a larger project. Ex: sleeve/ leg sleeve, etc. You are not walking around with just an outline.
- Category One has priority and gets booked first.
- Category Two gets booked second. Category two must maintain at least ONE appointment a year to maintain as an ongoing project.
FOR CLIENTS WITH DEPOSITS DOWN AND NO SCHEDULED APPT:
IMPORTANT: Clients with deposits down and no scheduled appt are a small specific group. If you feel as though you are to be in this group, contact Lexy at any time to confirm.
- Examples of clients with deposits down and no scheduled appt are the following:
You had an appt scheduled and became pregnant.
You had an appt scheduled, had to cancel, and there was not currently any available space for a new appt.
You had an appt scheduled, had to cancel, and was unsure of when you wanted to come in again.
- All ‘deposits down’ clients are contacted at the beginning of each booking year BEFORE any new requests are accepted. Ongoing projects receive priority before this group.
- When contacted, if you need to wait for the next year cycle of scheduling due to medical/pregnancy/breast feeding, you may do so, and your deposit will be honored.
- For non-medical cancellations, deposits will only be held and honored into the following booking year before becoming forfeit and a new deposit will need to be made in order to schedule. (Please see DEPOSIT and CANCELLATION POLICIES & FAQs for more information on deposits)
FOR CLIENTS INTERESTED IN LARGE SCALE PROJECTS:
- Large scale projects are anything that requires five or more appointments. This includes half sleeve, full sleeve, half leg sleeve, full leg sleeve, full hip/butt, full front torso, full back piece, or body suit.
- All Large scale pieces are done at the hourly rate. (Please see COST & PRICING below or FAQs for more information on pricing.)
- For large scale projects there are two main options to chose from to proceed. BOTH options require a large time, pain, & financial commitment, so please be sure you are informed and ready before moving forward.
Option 1 - Complete outline of one large area, full composition. This means that everything is typically scaled a little bit larger, lots of images woven together, and many things drawn on to match with the muscles and shape of the body. This can often tell one big story, have a very full look, or have ample negative space for a more sparse look. The first 1-4 appointments are all for designing and tattooing the entire outline of the whole space. Every appointment after that, an area is selected and worked on until completion.
This option requires the client to come to appts once every other month, 6 appts a year, at the minimum.
This option requires the client to sit for 2.5 hours at a minimum. (Excluding the outlining appts which can be between 3-6 hours.)
There is NEVER a guarantee of a time frame, as each piece and body is different. ROUGHLY a full sleeve can be 30+ hours, leg sleeve 60+ hours, back and front pieces 30+ hours.
Option 2 - Piece by piece. This means that each piece is designed for one smaller area within the larger overall area. (Example: a forearm within a sleeve.) Many parts are drawn on to match the muscles and shape of the body. Multiple, varying size pieces are done to completion, until the whole larger area is filled. Each piece tells its own story and can have one or many elements. The pieces are drawn to interlock with each other and may or may not overlap. We can create a look of one big image, multiple images linked together, or multiple images with lots of negative space.
This option requires the client to come to appts once a year at the minimum.
This option requires the client to sit for 2.5 -3.5 hours per appt. Some pieces may take 2-3 appts depending on scale.
There is never a guarantee of a time frame, as each piece and body is different. ROUGHLY a full sleeve can be 30+ hours, leg sleeve 60+ hours, back and front pieces 30+ hours.
- The outcome of both of these options can be very different in terms of layout and final appearance.
- The time and financial commitment are very different for both options.
COST & PRICING:
All pricing estimates are determined by size, design, detail, & location. There is never a guarantee of how long a tattoo may take, as everyone’s bodies and tolerances are different. All pricing or hours to complete a tattoo are a best educated guess and are subject to change.
-All appointments are 4 hour time slots regardless of the size of the tattoo.
-There is a $500 MINIMUM per appointment (4 hour time slot), regardless of tattoo time.
-All tattoos are priced hourly for multiple appointment pieces, or given a flat rate for single appointment pieces.
For multiple appointment pieces I work hourly at $200 an hour, with a $500 minimum.
$500 covers 2.5 hours of tattooing.
Any tattoo time past the 2.5 hours is the responsibility of the client at the $200 hour rate.
If the client stops prior to 2.5 hours, the cost is still $500.
If Lexy stop prior to 2.5 hours, the client is only responsible for the actual tattoo time at $200 an hour.
The average 4 hour time slot will be 2.5-3.5 hours of tattooing.
For single appointment pieces I will give a flat price range, with a $500 minimum.
The average single appointment price will fall within $500-$1000. If you are interested in tiny tattoos, I would recommend getting several in one appointment.
-If a client requests a full day, both the 11a & 3p time spots, it is a $1000 minimum.
For hourly pieces this will cover 5 hours of tattooing, and any time after that is the responsibility of the client at the $200 rate.
For flat rate pieces, it is a $1000 minimum regardless of tattoo time, as well as any balance due that was discussed during consultation. (For example: Client wants two $700 tattoos and would like both done same day. This would be $1000 minimum even if client stops before they are complete.)
DEPOSIT POLICY:
- All appts require a deposit, no exceptions.
- $100-$400 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is taken in order to schedule the discussed amount of appointments. These deposits are taken via ZELLE ONLY at this time.
$100 deposit for half sleeve or smaller & piece by piece large projects
$200 deposit for full sleeve
$300 deposit for full front or back
$400 deposit for leg sleeve
- Multiple appointments only require one deposit, which is applied to the clients very last appointment. The deposit comes off the overall price of the tattoo and is not a fee.
(Please see CANCELLATION / RESCHEDULE POLICY for information on deposits being forfeit.)
CANCELLATION / RESCHEDULE POLICY:
FOR CLIENTS THAT HAVE ACTIVE APPOINTMENTS ON LEXY’S SCHEDULE:
- A confirmation text is sent the week of your scheduled appt. No response to the confirmation text, with appt in less than 48 hours, will be taken as a cancellation, and the deposit is forfeit.
- Appointments may be rescheduled twice. On a third reschedule the deposit becomes forfeit, and a new full deposit is required to stay on the schedule.
- If a client cancels / reschedules an appointment LESS THAN 24 HOURS PRIOR to an appointment start time, the deposit is forfeit, and a new full deposit is required to stay on the schedule.
- If Lexy cancels / reschedules an appointment LESS THAN 24 HOURS PRIOR to an appointment start time, a credit equal to the full deposit amount will be applied to the next appointment.
- If a client cancels an appointment and doesn’t wish to reschedule, the deposit is forfeit.
- If a client cancels an appointment and doesn’t reschedule within the following booking cycle, the deposit is forfeit.
- If a client requires a new appointment due to changing the design on the day of the appointment, the deposit is forfeit, and a new full deposit is required.
FOR CLIENTS WITH DEPOSITS DOWN AND NO APPT SCHEDULED:
- When contacted to be scheduled, if you need to wait for the next years scheduling due to medical/pregnancy/breast feeding, you may do so, and your deposit will be honored.
- For non-medical cancellations, deposits will only be held and honored into the following booking year before becoming forfeit and a new deposit will need to be made in order to schedule.
